U7s Weekend Roundup – Brilliant Effort and Growing Confidence! ⚽🟠⚫
Our U7s put in some fantastic performances across two matches this weekend, showing real teamwork, hard work, and the skills they’ve been building in training.
Vs Sedgley and Gornal We played some of our best football yet! Everyone stuck to their positions brilliantly, the passing and movement was excellent, and we truly worked as a team. Tommy scored his very first goal for us (and what a strike it was – he read the game so well and smashed it home). Rio was his usual unstoppable self, driving forward with energy and finishing smartly to grab two more goals. We made a few changes at half-time and conceded one, but the boys stayed strong and held on comfortably for a great win. Well played, lads!
Vs Burntwood After only a short break between games, it was tough to stay fully focused and warm, but the boys still showed they can compete with anyone. We looked the better side for long periods with strong teamwork, and Tommy grabbed his second goal of the day. We went behind after a few unlucky moments where small mistakes got punished, but heads never dropped – the boys kept fighting right to the end. Rio pulled one back with another excellent finish to give us real hope. A close one that could have swung either way, but massive credit for the never-give-up attitude!
