We're a community, not just a football club. Our coaches and volunteers are central to everything we do.
We fund UEFA coaching qualifications for committed coaches. You start as a parent who wants to help — we help you become a qualified coach.
A tight-knit group of families, coaches and volunteers who all pull in the same direction. You will be welcomed from day one.
Most roles are Sunday mornings plus one midweek training session. We work around you — life comes first.
You will watch children grow in confidence, skill and character — and know that you helped make that happen.
Regular team meetings, shared resources, and a chairman who is always available. You are never left to figure things out alone.
Our ethos is simple — every child gets a fair chance, regardless of what their family can afford. Being part of that matters.
All roles are open to anyone who shares our values. No experience necessary — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine care for young people.
We keep things simple. No lengthy application forms — just a conversation to see if it's the right fit.
Email the contact on the role listing. Tell us a bit about yourself and why you're interested. Takes two minutes.
We'll arrange a relaxed conversation — usually over the phone or at a session — to answer your questions and tell you more about the role.
Come along to a training session or matchday as an observer. See how we operate and meet the families and players.
We'll process your DBS check (we cover the cost), complete any required FA paperwork, and get you properly set up.
All coaches and volunteers working regularly with children must hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate. If you don't have one, we process it for you at no cost.
DBS checks are valid for 3 years and are processed through the FA's Whole Game System. The process is straightforward and we support you through it.
The safety and wellbeing of our players is the club's first priority, always. All coaches complete FA safeguarding training before working independently with children.
Our Welfare Officer is available to any coach or parent with a concern. RVFC follows all FA safeguarding policies and The Nolan Principles of public life.
We're always open to hearing from people who share our values. If you think you can contribute — whether as a coach, photographer, administrator, or anything else — get in touch and we'll have a conversation.
