Game 1: Rushall Village vs Pelsall Villa Colts
The morning began with a spirited display from our young Rushall Village side, facing a well-organised and physically strong Pelsall Villa Colts team. From the first whistle, our players showed great enthusiasm and energy, pressing high and battling for every ball.
Despite facing intense pressure, the team never lost heart. There were some brave tackles from our defenders, who stood firm against wave after wave of attacks. In midfield, the players worked tirelessly to close down space and link up play, while our forwards made clever runs and showed real intent in the final third.
What stood out most was the team’s resilience. Heads stayed high, voices remained encouraging, and every player gave their all until the final whistle. The coaches were especially proud of the way the team stuck together, supported one another, and showed maturity beyond their years in a challenging match.
Game 2: Rushall Village vs Creswell Wanderers Titans
The second game saw a complete turnaround in momentum. Rushall Village came out with renewed confidence and determination, eager to put their learning into action. From the outset, the team played with purpose – pressing hard, passing smartly, and showing fantastic positional discipline.
The standout moment came when Chester stepped up for a free kick just outside the box. With calm focus, he struck the ball sweetly, curling it into the top corner – a goal that had parents and coaches applauding in awe. But Chester wasn’t done. After sustained pressure and excellent team build-up play, he found space again and coolly slotted home a second.
The defense was rock-solid throughout, with players tracking back, making key interceptions, and communicating brilliantly. Midfielders linked play with clever passes and showed great awareness, while the attackers kept Creswell’s goalkeeper busy with a flurry of chances.
🏆 Parents’ Player of the Match: Chester – for two superb goals, tireless effort, and excellent attitude throughout. 🏆 Manager’s Player of the Match: Tommy – for outstanding discipline, work rate, and intelligent positioning that helped anchor the team.
