What a fantastic feeling to have the season back underway! It’s clear that the hard work put in during pre-season – both in training and friendly fixtures, has paid off. The team’s confidence, cohesion, and overall effort have come on leaps and bounds, and today’s performance was a brilliant reflection of that progress.

🏆 Manager’s Player of the Match: Vinnie
Despite initial disappointment at not starting, Vinnie showed real character when called upon. His impact was immediate, and the tactical switch to push him up front in the final five minutes proved a masterstroke, he took his chance brilliantly and grabbed a well-deserved goal.

🏆 Parents’ Player of the Match: Logan
A standout performance from Logan, whose tireless work rate was matched by his end product. Four goals speak for themselves, clinical, committed, and a joy to watch.

🏆 Trainer of the Week: Leo W
Leo’s dedication in training has been exceptional, and it showed on the pitch today. He gave me every reason to keep him on, demonstrating just how far he’s come. His development over the past few months has been outstanding.

🏆 Players’ Player of the Match: Leo W
With a spare trophy available, the boys voted to introduce a Players’ Player award – and Leo was the unanimous choice. His leadership on the pitch, vocal encouragement, and three assists highlighted that football isn’t just about scoring goals. He’s a true team player and a natural leader.

👏 Team Effort A huge well done to everyone involved today. The collective spirit, determination, and sportsmanship were a credit to the club. Let’s carry this momentum into training on Tuesday and keep building together.

🙏 Thanks & Acknowledgements Thank you to the linesmen and RM for stepping in with the bib duties – much appreciated. And a special mention to Harper Homes for their continued sponsorship. The kits looked absolutely fantastic today – smart, professional, and full of pride.

Here’s to a great season ahead – win, lose, or draw. The progress this group has made in just one year is remarkable. Let’s keep pushing forward.
