Rushall Village FC’s U10s delivered an outstanding double-header performance this weekend, showcasing teamwork, discipline, and individual flair across both fixtures.
⚽ Match 1: vs Streetly Dragons
The team opened the day with a confident display against Streetly Dragons, asserting early dominance through sharp passing and intelligent movement off the ball. Possession was largely in our favour, with midfielders linking play effectively and creating multiple attacking opportunities. Despite a few unfortunate fouls disrupting rhythm in the middle third, the boys maintained composure and continued to press forward.
Striker Nathan led the line with determination, netting two well-taken goals – both the result of excellent build-up play and support from his teammates. Defensively, the squad remained resolute. On the rare occasions Streetly Dragons broke through, our back line responded exactly as rehearsed in training, staying compact and clearing danger with confidence. A clean sheet was the reward for their discipline and focus.
⚽ Match 2: vs Bustleholme Wanderers
The second fixture presented a sterner test against a well-organised Bustleholme Wanderers side who posed a greater attacking threat. Our players rose to the challenge, maintaining high energy levels and adapting well under pressure.
Goalkeeper Alex was instrumental throughout, pulling off a series of impressive saves that kept the team in control and earned praise from both sets of coaches. The first half was tightly contested, with few clear chances, but the breakthrough came early in the second half when striker Asher made a powerful solo run through the defence to calmly slot home.
Nathan was introduced shortly after and made an immediate impact, adding to the tally with a composed finish. Szymon then produced a moment of brilliance, striking from distance with precision and power. In the final moments, Charlie M was awarded a penalty following a determined run into the box. He stepped up with confidence and converted, capping off a well-rounded team performance.
