Game 1: Rushall Olympic
A tough opening fixture, made more challenging by a reshuffled defence due to player absences. In the first half, the opposition found space too easily, with Rushall struggling to apply pressure or make decisive tackles. Just before the break, Nathan lifted spirits with a well-taken goal following a brilliant ball through the middle – a moment that gave the team a much-needed boost.
After regrouping at half-time and making some changes, the boys responded with better marking and increased pressure. Despite the improved second-half performance, Olympic continued to find chances. A difficult match against a strong MJPL side, but valuable lessons learned.
Game 2: Ace Milan
Straight into the next game, and the difference in energy and confidence was clear. Rushall played with greater intensity, pressing high and creating more attacking opportunities. Charlie A opened the scoring with a superb finish over the keeper, and that breakthrough sparked a wave of belief across the team.
Asher and Charlie added further goals, capping off a much-improved display. The boys showed real character and quality, bouncing back from the earlier challenge and demonstrating the progress they’ve made. A rewarding end to a demanding match day.

Parents’ Player of the Match – Alex As always, Alex was outstanding between the posts – pulling off some tremendous saves and earning praise from coaches and opposition alike. His composure and consistency helped secure a clean sheet in the second game.
Coaches’ Player of the Match – Reece Reece delivered a strong all-round performance, showing clear improvement in the areas discussed with the team. His growing confidence on the pitch was evident and made a real impact across both games.
