Another fantastic showing from the team yesterday, rounding off a packed week with four games instead of the usual three. Despite the extra load, the boys rose to the challenge with energy and determination. Across all matches, they demonstrated excellent football—scoring goals, making intelligent passes, and committing to strong tackles from the first whistle to the last.

Game 1 vs. Barnhurst South: The team got off to a flying start, immediately pressing high and taking control of the game. Their quick passing and confident movement paid off with multiple goals, and their persistent pressure even forced the opposition into conceding an own goal. It was a thrilling opening match that set the tone for the day, finishing with a solid 6–4 win.

Game 2 vs. All Stars: We knew this would be one of the tougher games of the day, with the All Stars fielding three older, more physically developed players. But our boys didn’t shy away—they met the challenge head-on. They fought hard, linked up well with composed passing under pressure, and created numerous chances. Two brilliant goals gave us something to celebrate, and though the game ended 9–2 in their favour, our team walked away with heads held high, having made the All Stars work for every inch of ground.

Game 3 vs. Barnhurst North: Confidence continued to grow as the team settled into a rhythm. With more control over possession, they showed great composure, looking up to make smart decisions on the ball. We saw fantastic build-up play and effective teamwork, capped off by six well-earned goals. The final score mirrored the first match—another satisfying 6–4 victory.

Game 4 vs. TT Elite: By now the boys were physically exhausted, but their spirit never wavered. Despite facing a well-drilled, older side, they dug deep and displayed remarkable teamwork and communication. They battled hard to defend against a barrage of attacks and still managed to score a great goal. Though the result was a 9–1 loss, it didn’t reflect the grit and resilience our team showed throughout.

Player of the Week – Parents’ Choice: This week’s Parents’ Player award went to a Bligh who consistently impressed with his tackling, awareness on the ball, and a cracking goal. His maturity in decision-making really stood out.

Manager’s Player of the Week: Recognised for an all-round stellar performance across all four matches, this player led by example—holding the ball under pressure, finding the back of the net seven times, and never letting up in effort or focus. Well done Chester.
