Another three games under our belt as we prepare for U6 football next season, once again competing against teams a year older than us. The first game was a close one; we narrowly lost but managed to score six goals of our own. The second game proved to be a challenging mismatch—we faced a team that was head and shoulders above the rest. Despite the odds, we never gave up and still found the back of the net.

This set us up for a rematch with the team we lost to in the first game. The lads delivered an incredible performance and secured our first-ever win. Everyone worked tirelessly, and with goals coming from every player, the victory was thoroughly deserved.

Today’s Players of the Match were Chester (parents’ choice), who showed immense determination by winning the ball back repeatedly, creating plenty of chances with great first touches, and scoring multiple goals; and Tommy (managers’ choice), who had his best week yet—getting stuck in, earning his first-ever goal for the team, and receiving the biggest cheer of the day. It was especially rewarding to see him find the net after coming close several times. He truly deserved it.

Honestly, it’s a shame we can only award two Players of the Match because the entire team deserved recognition this week. Well done, lads!
