We had a brilliant day of football today, with every single player putting in an excellent performance.
First game:
Rushall Village vs Wednesfield Galacticos.
Before kick‑off we had a little chat with the boys about what we wanted to see, and they absolutely delivered. Straight away we were playing exactly how we’ve been training. We were passing, moving, supporting each other and showing real confidence. Because of this, Tommy found himself in a great position after a perfect pass, took a touch and placed a lovely shot past the keeper. It set the tone immediately and boosted the lads confidence. Nicholas then added two goals, the first a sharp solo run and finish, before Tommy grabbed his second of the game. Koby hit the post and forced a save, but soon got his goal as well. Nicholas completed his hat‑trick just before half‑time, and Ashton, coming on as a sub, scored a brilliant top‑corner finish almost straight away. We went in 7–0 up at the break.
HT 7-0.
The second half continued in the same way, with the boys enjoying themselves and playing great football. Adam scored the next three goals to complete a well‑deserved hat‑trick, Koby added another, and both Ashton and Nicholas increased our tally further. Freddie, in goal today, didn’t have much to do because of how dominant we were, but he stayed switched on and ready throughout. Right at the end we switched keepers and conceded a really nice solo goal, but it didn’t take anything away from what was a performance to be proud of.

Our second game: Rushall Village Vs DMC Young Boys.
We knew this would be a tougher test, as all DMC teams are. Despite that, we continued playing with the same confidence and teamwork as in the first game. What stood out most was how well we defended as a team, everyone contributing with blocks, clearances, organisation and communication. The boys were vocal, marking up, encouraging each other, and showing brilliant teamwork. One moment summed it up perfectly, four players, one after another, reacting to second balls after blocks and clearing danger. It wasn’t all defensive either, we created chances and their keeper had to make some difficult saves. As the first half came to a close, DMC took the lead, but we were still very much in the game.
HT: 0–1.
The second half was full of fight and hard work. We looked like we could get something from the match, but it just wasn’t to be. We conceded a second goal from nothing, then a penalty was given against us for handball. Freddie made a great dive but the shot was right in the bottom corner, nothing he could do. As we pushed forward late on, they broke away and scored a fourth with the last kick of the game. The scoreline really flattered the opposition, we felt we were right in the game and could easily have taken something from it. It was much closer than 4–0 suggests.

Tommy fully deserved the parents vote today. Two well‑taken goals, sharp dribbling, good passing, and a huge smile afterwards showing how much he enjoyed himself. Well done, Tommy 👏⚽⚽🏆
Managers Player of the Match – Koby 🏆
Koby was everywhere today, strong defending, excellent teamwork, and two well‑earned goals. He worked incredibly hard and showed willingness to put himself in the way of shots. Great performance, Koby 👏⚽⚽🏆
Final Thoughts
What a fantastic performance from everyone today. We could have given the trophies to every single player. There was real togetherness, effort and team spirit, everyone working hard for each other. Freddie was brave and made some great saves, Ashton was solid at the back, scored twice and organised brilliantly, Koby defended superbly with some great tracking back and last second tackles as well as adding two goals, Adam was full of energy, played in defence and attack really well and grabbed a brilliant hat‑trick, and Nicholas and Tommy were sharp up front, dangerous throughout and scored plenty. We’re so proud of you all today. Everything we’ve been working on in training was put into practice and is coming together nicely. Well done, boys. 🟠⚫👏👏
