What. A. Game! 😮💨⚽
Football can be a funny game, and today was certainly one of those days!
To go from being 3–0 down, to turning the game around and leading 4–3, only to eventually finish with a 4–4 draw, sums up just how crazy the game was from start to finish.
The first half was, quite simply, not good enough from us. We were nowhere near the standards we know this team is capable of, and we made life far too easy for the opposition. At half-time, we had a really honest conversation with the players about what needed to change.
And credit to every single one of them — they listened, responded and dug incredibly deep.
The second half was a completely different team.
The football was miles better, the intensity increased, we started moving the ball with much more purpose and, most importantly, the players showed the character and togetherness that we know is in this group.
From 3–0 down, the boys fought their way back into the game and somehow found themselves 4–3 ahead! The belief, determination and quality of football in that second half was fantastic to watch.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t quite hold on and conceded late on to make it 4–4, but there was plenty to be proud of in the way the team responded after a difficult first half.
Games like today are a great reminder that attitude and mentality can completely change a game. The first half wasn’t where we wanted to be, but the response was excellent, and that’s something we can build on.

A brilliant performance from Lucas today, who was like a machine in midfield! 💪
He battled for everything, covered so much ground and never stopped working for the team. To top it all off, Lucas grabbed his first goal of the season — and what a moment to do it!

Logan was absolutely on fire today and played a huge part in getting us back into the game. Three goals, plenty of energy and a performance full of determination.

We take the positives, learn from the first half and keep moving forward together.
