❤️⚽️ FIRST WIN TOGETHER! ⚽️❤️
What a performance from the U11s today!
We started the game slowly and found ourselves 1–0 down within the first few minutes. In all honesty, we were fortunate not to be further behind as Leamington came at us strongly and we struggled to settle into the game.
But then something changed.
The lads started to get a hold of the game, began working for each other and gradually took control. Once we found our rhythm, the quality of football started to shine through.
From that point onwards, we were excellent.
The boys worked incredibly hard for one another, moved the ball with much more confidence and showed real quality in both attacking and defensive areas. We started creating chances, putting pressure on the opposition and, most importantly, playing as a team.
Six goals followed, while we conceded just one further goal, and the boys thoroughly deserved to come away with the victory.
But for me, today wasn’t simply about getting the first win together.
It was about the fight, the togetherness and the character the boys showed after such a difficult start. ❤️
Going behind early could easily have knocked their confidence, but instead they dug deep, stuck together and turned the game around through hard work and quality.
That’s what makes today so special.
The win will go down as our first together, but the performance and the way the boys supported each other is what we’ll remember.
✨ The quality came through. The team spirit came through. And the hard work paid off. ✨
