Full Match Report – U11 Mixed
The U11 Mixed started the game really well against a strong attacking side. Some excellent combination play led to a well-worked goal, with Logan B assisting Lion who finished calmly to give us a 1-0 lead.
Unfortunately, after a forced substitution due to injury we struggled to keep our shape and discipline. We were caught on the counter and conceded an equaliser, then a couple of sloppy mistakes saw us go 2-1 down. The opposition added two more before half-time, making it 4-1.
The boys showed great character in the second half and came out fighting. Aali produced a magical run to set up Logan P, who pulled one back for us. We created plenty of chances, especially from the wide areas, and went very close to scoring again when Aali released Foden – his shot beating the keeper but hitting the post.
Overall it was a good performance. The scoreline didn’t fully reflect the game, as the home team were simply more clinical in front of goal and better disciplined throughout. There were lots of positives to take from all areas of the pitch.
Parents Player: Lion 🏆 Fantastic all-round game – brilliant finish, strong battle, and excellent tracking both on and off the ball in the second half.
Managers Player: Henry 🏆 Even though he is still very new to the team, you could really see his confidence growing. Excellent movement on and off the ball, creating space, scanning well, playing forward, and winning some strong duels.
Well done lads – plenty to be proud of!
