Wow, what a weekend for football ☀️⚽️
The sun was shining and the lads were right at it from the first whistle.
We faced the same tough fixtures as last week — taking on the winners and runners-up from another group — and the boys stepped up in a big way 👏
🆚 Walsall Phoenix 🔴
After a close game last week, we knew this would be another tough test — but the lads were outstanding. The shape and teamwork were exceptional from the start.
Walsall Phoenix played some good football through midfield, but our defence was rock solid, and every tackle quickly turned into an attack.
The breakthrough came when Chester battled through the middle, showed great skill, and finished cleverly with his weaker right foot. More pressure followed, and from a corner Naeto, who had been excellent defensively, pushed forward and reacted quickest to smash home for 2–0 at half time.
The message at the break was simple — keep doing the same — and the boys delivered. The second half followed a similar pattern, with our keeper hardly having anything to do. Chester added a third, smashing it into the bottom corner to seal a fully deserved 3–0 win 💪

🆚 Tekkerz Academy 🔴⚫
Tekkerz had dominated their group and beat us 3–1 last week, but we knew the game was closer than the scoreline suggested — and the lads proved that today.
We asked for more of the same after the first game, and they delivered again. Against a strong, fast and physical side, the boys matched them all over the pitch, working together and backing each other up.
Some of the football played out from defence and into the wings was exceptional — the kind you rarely see at this age — with a few moments we really wish had been captured on camera.
Their keeper made several great saves to deny us, while Naeto stepped in goal for us in the first half and pulled off a brilliant full-stretch one-handed save, tipping the ball past the post 🧤👏
After a very competitive first half, it was 0–0.
At half time, we made a small adjustment, asking the wingers to drop slightly deeper – and the response was excellent. The work rate and discipline for the next 10 minutes was superb, and the quality of passing remained high.
The breakthrough came when Joey reacted quickest to score. Tekkerz equalised soon after with a good goal, setting up a big test for the lads – and the response was outstanding.
The final 5 minutes were genuinely some of the best football we’ve seen from this group. With great build-up play, a strong pass through the middle found Harlen, who turned brilliantly and finished calmly to restore the lead.
We stayed focused and pushed on, and from another well-worked move out from the back, Joey turned and slotted home to seal a brilliant 3–1 win 🔥
