Rushall Village U11s – Match Report
Rushall Village U11s Mixed vs Coven
A great team performance all across the board today. The boys and girls started a little slowly and took some time to find their rhythm against a disorganised opposition, but once they got going the chances began to flow.
Every change made throughout the game proved to be a success — from substitutions to positional switches, every single player stepped up and embraced their role brilliantly. The build-up play to each goal was a real highlight, with the team showing excellent movement off the ball, smart passing, and some wonderful individual moments including goals from tight angles and impressive solo runs.
It was particularly pleasing to see goals and assists spread right across the pitch. For some it was a first goal, for others it had been a while since they had found the net — but today was a great day to shine. An early cold start did nothing to dampen the spirits, and the team were a credit to themselves throughout.
A fantastic all-round performance and a thoroughly deserved result.
Players of the Match
Parents’ Player of the Match – Mason A superb individual performance across two very different roles. Mason led from the front in the first half with a strong defensive display, helping to drive the team forward and move the ball quickly into wide areas. After switching to the left wing in the second half, he thrived with the freedom to run with the ball and play with confidence, and came very close to adding a goal to cap off a brilliant personal display.
Managers’ Player of the Match – Christine Christine shone on the pitch today in every sense. She worked tirelessly with and without the ball, winning possession, making fantastic runs, and delivering some excellent crosses into the box. She also capped her performance with a thoroughly well-worked goal. Her confidence continues to grow week on week, both in training and in matches, and it is a joy to watch. A very deserving winner.
Final Thoughts
A brilliant day all round. The result reflected the performance and every player played their part. The team spirit, the attitude, and the quality of football were all outstanding. Well done to every single one of you — keep it up!
