Rushall Village FC U10s Match Report
Recent Weekend Action – Building Skills & Having Fun
Our U10s delivered two strong, spirited performances over the weekend, putting into practice the movement, recovery runs, pressing, and teamwork we’ve been focusing on in training. In mini soccer, it’s all about enjoyment, personal growth, and supporting each other — and the boys showed exactly that with fantastic effort and smiles all round!
Vs All Stars A really tight and competitive match against a solid All Stars team, but Rushall Village’s hard work and determination made the difference. The lads showcased the sharp off-the-ball movement and quick recovery runs they’ve been honing in recent weeks, winning the ball back high up the pitch and transitioning positively. Nathan linked play superbly in midfield with a clever pass that set up Charlie A for a composed, well-struck finish — brilliant awareness! Moments later, Oliver delivered a great ball from the wide area, and Charlie A showed excellent instincts and technique to score again. The whole team stayed organised, supported one another tirelessly, and created lots of exciting attacking moments. A proper team display — massive credit to everyone involved!
Vs Walsall Phoenix Tigers Another challenging game against the Tigers, but the boys handled the pressure with real maturity and focus. They controlled key areas early on and stayed disciplined throughout. Asher provided a smart, accurate assist in the first half, finding Charlie M who finished calmly and confidently. From there, the defence was outstanding — compact shape, strong tackling, and no easy chances given away. Our goalkeeper made some top-class saves to keep things secure, dealing bravely with shots and crosses. A few efforts from the opposition were close but the lads refused to drop their heads, maintaining positive energy and teamwork right to the end. Superb resilience!
Player Highlights Parents’ Player: Eddie
Outstanding goalkeeping in both games — two clean sheets against tough opponents is incredibly impressive at U10 level. Commanding presence in the area, quick reactions, and great distribution helped the team build from the back. The parents were buzzing watching you, Eddie — well deserved!
Manager’s Player: Szymon
Developing week by week into a really exciting player. His technical skills, movement, and decision-making are coming on leaps and bounds. He came so close to scoring a couple of absolute screamers with powerful shots and intelligent runs — unlucky on the day, but his all-round contribution was brilliant. Keep going, Szymon — you’re a star in the making!
These were massive steps forward for the group in terms of confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment. The boys are improving every session and embodying what Rushall Village FC is all about: fun football, personal development, and community spirit.
Huge pride in the lads, coaches, and parents — let’s keep building! ⚽💜
