Rushall Village U15s 2-1 Chasetown Scholars
First League Win of the Year!
Great start to 2026 for the U15s – first game back after the break, with just one training session under our belts, and the boys delivered a fantastic performance to claim a well-deserved 2-1 victory.
We switched to a 4-1-2-3 formation, and the lads took to it brilliantly right from the kick-off. We dominated the early stages, creating chances straight away. George went close with a couple of one-on-ones, showing sharp movement up front.
Midway through the first half, we broke the deadlock with a superb goal from Eban – clinical finish to cap off some excellent build-up play. We kept the pressure on, hitting the post from a corner and controlling the midfield superbly. Winston was outstanding as our CDM – a real tackling machine with tireless energy and intelligent positioning. His work rate gave Theo and Toby the freedom to push forward, linking well with our front three through quick, accurate passing. Solid 1-0 lead at the break.
The second half started just as strongly. We doubled our advantage early on with Eban grabbing his second of the game – another quality strike to reward our positive play. The boys continued to create good opportunities on the break, defending strongly and showing real composure.
Chasetown had a late chance from just outside the box that hit the bar and bounced down – but despite clear views from players, parents, and sidelines that it stayed out, the decision went against us to make it 2-1. Disappointing moment, but the lads showed incredible character and resilience to hold firm and see out the win.
Huge credit to every player – they were by far the better team throughout, with strong defending, fluent attacking play, and bags of determination. A brilliant team effort to secure our first league win of the season.
Well done, lads – proud of you all! Keep that momentum going.
