⭐ Swifts U7s – Matchday Report ⭐
A fantastic morning of football for our U7s boys, full of energy, skill, and learning across two exciting games!
🆚 Game 1: vs Huntington Harriers We started brilliantly and showed real quality right from the first whistle! Naeto produced an outstanding moment early on — a strong tackle on the right wing, followed by beating two defenders with quick feet, driving forward 1v1 against the keeper, and finishing calmly and confidently into the net. A brilliant individual goal to get us going! 🔥⚽️
The positive momentum carried on, with great movement and teamwork. From a well-worked corner, Chester delivered the ball perfectly to Bligh, who struck it goalwards — the shot took a helpful deflection and nestled into the net for our second well-deserved goal. 🙌
In the second half, we lost a bit of our structure at times, with too many players drawn to the same areas chasing the ball, which allowed Huntington Harriers back into the contest. They capitalised on a couple of opportunities to pull level. Despite the strong start and our clear dominance early on, the game ended shared honours — a good lesson in maintaining shape and discipline throughout.

🆚 Game 2: vs Sporting Khalsa After a strong team talk at halftime focusing on holding our positions, sticking to our shape, and returning to crisp team passing and support play, the boys responded superbly 👏
We played some excellent football in this one, dominating large periods of the first half with good possession, sharp movement, and real intent. We were unlucky not to take the lead — hitting the post twice and forcing their keeper into two or three excellent saves to keep us out. Unfortunately, against the run of play, we conceded a goal just before the break, heading into halftime trailing.
The second half was all about belief, resilience, and relentless pressure — and the lads delivered in style! 💪 Naeto was clinical and clinical again, finding the net twice with smart finishes, while Chester added a superb goal of his own to complete a well-earned comeback. A thoroughly deserved turnaround and a great response to the earlier game.
